Winner of Algorand prizes a Future of Blockchain
The team made by Marco Zecchini and Andrea Vitaletti (Sapienza), Maurizio Pizzonia amd Diego Pennino (Uniroma Tre) - all members of the Italian Distributed Ledger Technology Working Group - Albenzio Cirillo and Antonio Mauro (Fondazione Ugo Bordoni) won the Asset Creation and Management Platform Challenge sponsored by Algorand at the Future of Blockchain contest with the project on the Decentralised Robinson List.
A Robinson list is an opt-out list of people who do not wish to receive marketing communications.
Nowadays, Robinson lists are managed in centralized infrastructures. Our PoC developed on Algorand shows that the Decentralised Robinson lists can be implemented in DLTs thus empowering citizens in autonomously managing their own choices in a hopefully future trans-national deployment.
